Announcements for September 2000:
1. We meet on a weekly basis. Every Thursday on CP building at 9pm. (Informal/Formal) Please call ahead to find out what type of meeting we will be having. Thanks!
2. Formal Recruitment Week: September 11th to the 16th. Everyone is welcome. Below are the exact dates.
3. We also have a new hotline number. If you do not have the number
please contact Angie, our communications chair,on her cell phone at 7863481127. All the most important Rush info will be on the hotline.
4.Fall formal recruitment will be in September. Please contact our membership recruitment chair, Melissa Doval, for additional info at 3052239911 or 305 3217581. Dates: Sep. 7th --Open House. Sep.11th -- 1st Rotational (Sorority 101). Sep. 12th --2nd Rotational. Sept.13th -- 3rd Rotational. Sep.15th -- Pref. Night. Sept.16th -- Bid Day.
5. Our new chapter advisor is Gio Nieves. Congratulatios!!! ;D We love you!
6. FIU will be closed on the following days(Fall Semester): September 4th, November 10th & 11th, and the 23th & 24th.
7. Phi Sigma Sigma thanks you, Alumni, for the continuous support that you have shown to us. ;D Thank you!
8. Alumnae: Please submit photos for our site. It can be from the time that you were an active Phi Sig to know. Also Please send me pictures of your families, babies, and pets. Remember that this website is in honor of you, so feel free to post anything! Thanks!!! ;D
9. The new edition of our official magazine is out, The Sphinx,and it has a beautiful picture of our chapter (during Greek week)and a nice article to go along with it. 11.ALUMNAE SISTERS UPDATES:
***Silvia Samalea is 8 months pregneant with her first baby girl.(Congratulations!!!)
***Vivian D. Rodriguez's (Omicron) son just turned 1 year old last June 8th.(Happy B-Day!!)
***Audry Castellanos (Pi) went back from Med School, and is now studying for the Boards. --We wish you lots of luck!!!
***Debbie Schmuckal (Xi)is now living in Michigan. She have been married for 3 years now and have a beautiful baby boy born. Congratulattions!!
